Privacy Policy
This beta privacy policy explains the practical data handling Paweey needs for pet care coordination, reminders, records, caregivers, billing, and support.

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Paweey collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use Paweey.com, the Paweey web app, support, billing, reminders, records, documents, Passport, and related services.
Paweey is designed for pet care coordination. It is not designed for human medical records and should not be used to store human health information.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information such as name, email, password-authentication data, language, country, timezone, settings, support requests, account role, billing status, and invited caregiver information.
We collect pet and care information that you choose to provide, such as pet name, species, age, photos, task schedules, completion history, notes, caregiver access, emergency contacts, medications, vaccines, documents, care instructions, allergies, diet, handling notes, and Passport readiness information.
We collect technical information such as device/browser type, IP address, logs, session information, service worker and push-subscription data, timestamps, error data, and security/audit records.
3. How we use information
We use information to create accounts, operate pet care workflows, show the Dashboard, schedule tasks, send reminders, manage caregivers, store records, generate history, support Passport features, provide support, process billing, secure the service, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
If AI-assisted document reading or summaries are used, extracted content is treated as draft assistance for owner review. Paweey does not make veterinary decisions.
4. Sharing and processors
We share information with service providers that help us operate Paweey, such as hosting, database, authentication, file storage, email, payment, tax, support, monitoring, and document-processing providers.
Current or expected providers may include Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Postmark, and similar infrastructure or operational vendors. Stripe handles payment details according to its own privacy and security terms.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use ads. We do not share pet care records with caregivers, emergency contacts, vets, or public Passport viewers unless an Owner chooses or configures that access.
5. Billing and accounting
When paid plans are enabled, payment details are processed by Stripe. Paweey may store billing identifiers, subscription status, plan, currency, checkout session, invoice status, cancellation status, and related accounting records.
We may retain billing and transaction records as needed for tax, accounting, audit, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance purposes.
6. Cookies, local storage, and notifications
Paweey may use cookies, browser storage, local storage, service workers, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect sessions, support PWA install behavior, and enable notifications.
Push notifications require device/browser permission. You can disable notifications in your device, browser, or Paweey settings.
7. Data retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, preserve history, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support accounting or audit obligations.
Owners may request export or deletion of account data. Some data may remain in backups, logs, legal records, billing records, or fraud/security records for a limited period when necessary.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may contact support@paweey.com to make a request.
Owners control invited caregiver access. If you are a caregiver and want access removed or corrected, contact the Owner or Paweey support.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authentication, role-based access, private storage patterns, and provider security controls. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
If you believe your account, pet records, caregiver access, or billing information has been compromised, contact us immediately.
10. Children
Paweey accounts are intended for adults. Users must be at least 18 to create an account. If minors help with pet care, they should do so under the responsibility of an adult Owner account.
11. International use
Paweey is focused first on the United States and Mexico. Information may be processed in countries where Paweey or its service providers operate. By using Paweey, you understand that privacy laws may differ from your location.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Paweey changes. Material updates will be posted in the app or on the website. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies.
